Luis Boa Morte has urged his Fulham team-mates to secure boss Chris Coleman’s job with three points against Southampton tonight.

Coleman has come under pressure in recent weeks as Fulham found themselves hovering above the relegation zone over Christmas.

A win over Crystal Palace on Saturday went some way to restoring hope for Coleman’s future but now Boa Morte wants his side to find some consistency and ensure the former Palace defender keeps his job.

The Portuguese winger returned from a hamstring injury to inspire Fulham to their 3-1 home win over the Eagles and he is looking to make fellow strugglers Southampton suffer at St Mary’s.

Boa Morte said: “We showed what we are capable of against Palace and hopefully we can build on that against Southampton.

“It’s a big game for us. Being in the Premiership means everything and we are all focused on the task.”
