Fulham manager Chris Coleman was satisfied with his side’s 2-0 win over Tottenham but has warned his players must ensure it is not a one-off.
“We looked back to our best but I’ll not get carried away because we have to start showing some consistency,” said the Welsh manager.
“I can’t point any fingers when they put in performances like that – they’ve been few and far between this season.
“Talking is finished now and we have to start producing results.”
Fulham dominated the play at Craven Cottage and goals from Luis Boa Morte and captain Andy Cole stopped the home side sinking to their fourth league defeat.
“I think we needed that game today,” Coleman added.
“We played better than Tottenham and deserved the three points. Boa Morte is in a rich vein of form and Cole did what he does best.
“We’ve turned the training schedule upside down and we’ve had a reaction from the players.
“Now we have to go to Newcastle next Sunday and show no fear.
“I will be asking everyone to stand up and be counted and if they do that we’ll give Newcastle a game.”
