Fulham boss Chris Coleman has blasted his side’s defending after watching them concede four against Portsmouth.
Coleman’s back four were run ragged by a lively Pompey forward line and the young manager concedes that improvements must be made.
“If we came here and scored three goals, I would expect to win the game,” Coleman said.
”I did not expect us to give away four goals in the fashion we did.
“Going into half-time, I felt if we got another one we could go all the way, but they scored the next one.
“We are always going to score goals because we have got players who can score, but we can’t defend like that.
“We have conceded six goals in two games and that is unacceptable.
“It is disappointing for us because, after last year when we were a hard nut to crack, maybe there are a few cracks appearing this year.
“We have to make sure we are a hard team to play against again.”
