Mark Hudson is hoping to impress Chris Coleman over pre-season in attempt to force his way into the first team picture at Fulham.

The highly-rated defender has enjoyed successful loan spells with Oldham Athletic and Crystal Palace and was included on the bench for the final three games of Fulham’s record breaking Premier League campaign. He told the club’s official website:

“I’m going to keep myself fit over the summer and we’ll see what happens for there. t’s been a really good season for me; I’d like to think that I’ve progressed. I played in the Second Division for three months then I moved to the First Division and did well there for another three months. From by point of view it’s been brilliant, I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

After coming back to Fulham I was on the first team bench for the last few games of the season. So, on that basis it’s all looking good and hopefully I’ll be able to carry on next season. I was glad to be on the bench but I don’t know if I would have been there had it not been for Zat Knight’s suspension.”
