Junichi Inamoto’s next destination could be Belgium as Genk are interested in signing the Fulham midfielder.

Chris Coleman is resigned to losing the Japan international in the summer and a switch to the Jupiler League is a possibility for the former Arsenal man.

Genk are still seeking a replacement for Josip Skoko, even though the Australian left for Genclerbirligi last summer.

The Belgian side had hinted they had a player in mind to fill an attacking midfield role, suggesting the mystery man played in the Premiership.

The club have since responded to rumours that Inamoto is the player in question.

“It’s 100 percent for sure he will leave there,” said a Genk spokesman. “He is one of the candidates to come to us.”
