Fulham’s Luis Boa Morte hopes his club form will get him picked for Portugal’s Euro 2004 squad.

Boa Morte told the club’s official website: “I’ve always said my first target is to work hard and play well for Fulham.

“Then hopefully playing for the national team will come along. It’s always vital that you are doing well for your team.

“I’m really looking forward to the summer and hope that I can be a part of it,” he added.

The winger has been in good form of late and he knows he must have a strong end to the Premiership season.

“There are three games to go and with Euro 2004 coming along I just have to hope for the best, try to keep my form and try to avoid injuries,” he said.

“It’s for other people to judge if I’m playing well or not, I’m just enjoying myself and working hard for the team and for the club.”
