Torquay United boss Leroy Rosenior has signed son Liam on loan from Premiership club Fulham.

The 20-year-old will join the Division Three high-flyers to bolster the Gulls’ squad, with the utility man able to play in the centre or on the right side of midfield, as well as at right back.

The former Bristol City trainee has been unable to make a first team breakthrough in Chris Coleman’s side and the versatile youngster has decided to take a loan spell at Plainmoor.

Young Rosenior was the subject of a contentious transfer wrangle between Bristol City and Fulham before an initial £55,000 fee was agreed in November for the player.

The utility man will be a welcome addition for The Gulls, as the South Devon-based outfit look to make up a three point deficit and earn automatic promotion in their final ten league matches.
