Welsh international Mark Crossley could be set to solve Stoke City’s goalkeeping crisis with a move to the Britannia Stadium.
Dutch international Ed De Goey was struggling to be fit for this afternoon’s game against Reading. Neil Cutler is definitely out and third choice ‘keeper Ben Foster is on loan to Stafford Rangers. Stoke are not able to recall Foster so manager Tony Pulis will move for Crossley on loan if De Goey does not recover.
Pulis told press: “Our goalkeeping situation is a real cause for concern. We are very keen on Crossley, but he is still a Fulham player.”
Crossley is currently second choice behind Edwin van der Sar at Fulham and would welcome an opportunity to play first-team football.
