Fulham manager Chris Coleman has called for the introduction of video replays after his side were denied a late penalty in the goalless draw at Manchester City.

The Welshman was incensed that the visitors were not given a spot kick when Sylvain Distin brought down Luis Boa Morte in the box.

Coleman told the BBC: “It is time for us to have a look at video playback. We need to try and make it easier for the referee and if we can have someone looking at certain situations, that has to be a progressive move. There is so much at stake – referees don’t always get it right and it would only take 60 seconds to get a verdict.”
