Fulham winger Luis Boa Morte will finally have his personal hearing to answer charges of improper conduct on Wednesday.
The Portuguese international was charged with making improper gestures to Everton fans who through match programmes and a lighter at him as he prepared to take a corner in front of them during Fulham’s 2-1 win at Loftus Road on January 10.
The Metropolitan Police considered charging Boa Morte for his part in the disturbance but were content to leave the matter to the FA’s disciplinary procedure. Fulham were stunned by the charge for their influential player and have supported Boa Morte wholeheartedly, which led to the former Arsenal man requesting a personal hearing so he could explain his side of the story.
