Fulham are aiming to conclude a deal for the highly-rated Collins John as their long-term replacement for Louis Saha.

The Londoners are locked in negotiations with FC Twente for the teenager, who has scored nine goals in the Dutch top flight this season. The 18 year-old has been watched by Fulham’s scouts and Chris Coleman believes a deal can be concluded by Monday’s transfer deadline.

John, who was born in Liberia but holds a Dutch passport, has represented Holland’s under 17 side is rapid, strong and able to play on the right flank as well as a conventional striker. John has attracted interest from Manchester City but Fulham have moved quickly to try and tie up a deal.
