Fulham have reached an agreement with Twente Enschede to sign highly-rated striker Collins John, according to reports in Holland.

Reports in the Dutch media claim that the two clubs have agreed a £4m for the teenager, who has scored nine times in eighteen games for Twente this season. John, who has already been capped by the Dutch youth sides, was born in Liberia and moved to Holland after his family fled the war-torn nation.

The pacey forward has been tracked by Manchester City but Fulham have moved quickly to try and steal a march on their Premier League rivals. The London club are confident of completing the formalities to conclude the deal before the end of the January transfer window.
