Fulham and Paris Saint Germain are battling it out to sign Auxerre ace Olivier Kapo.

The French international is poised to leave Auxerre after turning down a new deal at Stade Abbe-Deschamps.

Kapo is out of contract in the summer and would be available to leave on a free transfer, but Auxerre are hoping to sell him in the January transfer window to try and get some money for him.

PSG have held a long-term interest in the skilful forward and tried to sign him last summer.

The 23-year-old has long been touted for a move to England with Arsenal, Manchester United and Southampton all linked with him in the past.

Fulham are now leading the race for Kapo’s signature as Cottagers boss Chris Coleman looks to build on their impressive season so far.

Coleman has previously admitted he is keen to bring in two new faces in January and Kapo could be one of those.

The West London club are thought to be favourites for his signature ahead of PSG as Kapo is keen to try his luck in England.
