Millwall could turn to Fulham forward Facundo Sava to temporary fill the void in their striking department.

Lions boss Dennis Wise is desperate to bring in fresh faces this week, with his attack a particular area he wants to strengthen.

Neil Harris and Noel Whelan are currently injured while Bob Peeters was suspended for Saturday’s defeat at Reading, leaving Kevin Braniff as the only fit forward.

Wise is aiming to lure a loan capture to The New Den this week and Argentinian striker Sava has emerged as a potential recruit.

Sava has struggled to establish himself at Loftus Road since joining the club in 2002 from Gimnasia.

This season, the 29-year-old has made just two appearances for the West London side and has recently been sidelined with a shoulder injury.

With several players ahead of him in the pecking order at Fulham, Sava may be amenable to a temporary spell away from the club, particularly as he would remain in the capital.

Fulham boss Chris Coleman may also be happy to allow Sava to go out on loan to boost the South American’s fitness after his recent injury.
