Fulham boss Chris Coleman will fine Luis Boa Morte after he was sent-off on Sunday for a dangerous tackle on Liverpool’s Florent Sinama-Pongolle.

Boa Morte was dismissed just moments after Sinama-Pongolle won the penalty that decided the game in Liverpool’s favour 2-1.

“The maximum fine is two weeks’ wages,” said Coleman. “I’m not saying that’s what I’ll do but I’ll speak to Luis about it and he’ll be disciplined.

“It was an horrific challenge and it’s lucky their lad wasn’t hurt too badly.

“You can’t condone that sort of thing and I’ve no complaints at all about the red card.

“I think the world of Luis. He’s a lovely lad but gets frustrated and lacks discipline at times.”

mile Heskey gave Liverpool an early lead, but Fulham wrestled back control of the game after Louis Saha scored late in the first half.

With two minutes remaining Zat Knight upended Sinama-Pongolle and Danny Murphy calmly converted the penalty, before Boa Morte saw red.

Coleman added: “Liverpool were much better in the first half but we were after the break.

“Zat Knight’s lack of concentration gave them the penalty and we lost the game.

“Zat had played really well but he’ll learn from that and be a very good player.”
