Fulham utility man Martin Djetou has lifted the lid on the turmoil inside the dressing room at the end of Jean Tigana’s reign.

The French coach was axed with five games to go last season with Fulham in serious danger of relegation before rookie boss Chris Coleman, now enjoying an excellent start as the Cottagers’ permanent manager, kept them up. Djetou told the Sunday Mirror that the atmosphere is totally different this term:

“This year, the atmosphere is much more sane. We are working in harmony. The best players are in the team. Sometimes, it is difficult to watch the match from the bench, but we are close.”
