Chris Coleman has denied that Manchester United have made an approach for Fulham striker Louis Saha.

Press reports that linked Sir Alex Ferguson with a move for the French forward, who pulled United apart in the Cottagers’ surprise success at Old Trafford last week. The 25 year-old striker is now in talks with Fulham about signing a potential new deal.

Coleman told the Evening Standard: “He’s happy to talk to us but we have some very good players here and there is bound to be interest. All my players are happy here, though. We’ve just signed Steed Malbranque and Sylvain Legwinski on new contracts and the way Lee Clark is playing we’re going to have to talk to him as well because he played very well against Liverpool.”

“The reality is that we’re a good club, but if clubs like Manchester United or Liverpool want to come and get your players and pay the money, then that’s what is going to happen look what has happened with Steve Finnan.”
