Fulham boss Chris Coleman is readying a £2m bid for Glasgow Rangers right back Fernando Ricksen during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.

Coleman would love to keep on-loan full back Moritz Volz, who has been outstanding during his loan spell from Arsenal, but believes the Gunners are about to recall their German under-21 international with a number of suspensions decimating their first choice defence. He will move for Ricksen as a replacement and is likely to be offered a significant January kitty following Fulham’s fabulous start to the season.

Ricksen, 27, is thought to be interested in a move to London after enduring a turbulent time both on and off the pitch since signing for Rangers for £3.75m three years ago.
