Fulham boss Chris Coleman left his players in no doubt of his feelings after a comprehensive defeat at Charlton.

Charlton were superior in most departments to a Fulham side who have gone off the boil of late.

Coleman said: “I had harsh words at half-time but didn’t need to say anything at full-time as the players knew that wasn’t good enough.

“We didn’t get going from start to finish. It never happened for us and we were beaten by a better team.”

Coleman was disappointed with the absence of work-rate and flair which had seen his side rise up the table.

He added: “Charlton worked harder, won more balls and overpowered us.

“We’ve had success because we worked hard collectively – but we didn’t do that.”
