Sean Davis made amends for a dreadful mistake by scoring the equaliser as Fulham’s reserves drew at Arsenal this evening.

The midfielder was punished for giving away possession cheaply as Arsenal took the lead shortly after half time, but redeemed himself with a fabulous free-kick into the top corner after Stuart Noble was felled on the edge of the box.

Reserve team manager Paul Nevin told the club’s official website:

“We’ve worked very hard over the past week after the disappointing result against Leicester. It was very important that our front players held the play up and that we made it difficult for Arsenal to play the ball forward. We executed our game plan brilliantly, our front two of Noble and Fazakerley really gave their centre halves a hard time. They kept hold of the ball, set play up and worked tirelessly when we didn’t have possession.”

FULHAM RESERVES (4-4-2): Beasant; Rosenior, Green, Watkins, Fontaine; S Davis, Stratford, Pratley, Noble; Fazakerley, McDermott (James 80).
