Fulham manager Chris Coleman is facing some selection posers ahead of Sunday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers as the Whites will be without several key players.

Sylvain Legwinski is suspended following his sending off at Birmingham City and Sean Davis is still a fortnight away from full fitness after injuring his knee during Fulham’s pre-season tour of Austria. There has to be a doubt over whether last season’s player of the year will feature for the first time after demanding a transfer earlier this summer – and that could be a big test of Coleman’s burgeoning managerial credentials. He is likely to turn to his former international team-mate Mark Pembridge to plug the gap in central midfield tomorrow after the former Everton midfielder made his debut at Wigan in midweek.

Striker Barry Hayles, who scored twice at Tottenham Hotspur last month, will be out for another week with an ankle injury sustained on international duty and French forward Louis Saha should continue to lead the Fulham attack in his absence.
