Fulham are seeking to tie their key players to long-term contracts as they build for the future under Chris Coleman.

Luis Boa Morte committed himself to the club until 2006 last week and it is understood that negotiations with Sylvain Legwinski and others about similar length deals are under way.

Louis Saha, who scored in the 2-2 draw with Manchester City, attracted interest in the summer but he said today: “I am pleased to still be here. Everyone is the same. We have shown we have great spirit and can achieve things, especially with Coleman.”

Another outstanding Fulham performer with admirers is defender Zat Knight but Coleman said:

“I would not dream of letting him leave Fulham. If he keeps up the form he showed against City we have got a really good player on our hands. I think Zat thought he had to always make a killer pass. I told him to do the basic things. He has done that and been a revelation for us.”
