Chris Coleman was pleased to take a point from an enthralling draw with Birmingham City after Fulham were reduced to ten men following the sending off of Sylvain Legwinski.

The Fulham manager told his post-match press conference at St. Andrew’s:

“I’m happy with the draw considering we lost Sylvain. It’s strange that two players were sent off as I wouldn’t say that was a dirty game at all. They scored and Luis was just carrying the ball back to the halfway line. What happened after that I’m not prepared to judge.

Looking at it we have to be happy with a point. Our second goal maybe was a foul but these things do even themselves out over the course of the season. I’m sure Steve Bruce is unhappy with it but everyone has their share of good and bad luck.

They were two needless sendings off. There’s always a good atmosphere, their fans are fantastic and it’s always lively. I don’t want to comment too much (about the referee’s decisions) but I’m disappointed obviously. We didn’t get what we wanted, we wanted three points, but it was a battling performance we got a point. The effort was superb.”
