Chris Coleman has been handed a major boost after Fulham’s Portuguese winger, Luis Boa Morte, signed a new contract with the Club this week.

Boa Morte has been in sparkling form the season and has already netted twice for Fulham with strikes against Spurs and Birmingham City. The new contract will keep the player at the Club until the summer of 2006.

Speaking from Motspur Park on Monday afternoon, Boa Morte was pleased to have put pen to paper.

“I am very happy to have signed a year’s extension to my contract with Fulham,” he said. “The team has made a good start to the season and the spirit in the camp is really positive and upbeat despite what the pundits have been saying about us.

“I want to play well and help Fulham achieve success this and next season; and I am sure that under Chris Coleman we can be a successful team.”
