Norwich City boss Nigel Worthington has completed the signing Fulham striker Elvis Hammond. Hammond on a one month deal in a temporary measure as Worthington looks to add more bite to his attack.

The 22-year-old, who broke into the Cottagers’ first team last season making three league starts, will train with Norwich on Thursday and will be eligible to play against Rotherham this weekend.

who Worthington has been on the hunt for a striker since the end of last season and his side’s weakness up front was exposed as they lost to Northampton in the Carling Cup.

He told the club’s official website: “I’m delighted to bring in Elvis from a Premier League club.

“He’s very quick, very strong and has an eye for goal. These are qualities that will add to what we’ve got.

“Bringing him in on a month’s loan will help to buy us time while we continue to pursue a long-term striking option.”
