Fulham goalkeeper Maik Taylor has been tipped new manager Chris Coleman to be a success in the dugout.

Fulham confirmed Coleman as their permanent manager after the popular former club captain saved the Whites from the drop having replaced Jean Tigana in April.

The Northern Irish international is confident that the rookie boss can prove the pundits, who have already predicted a season of struggle for the Cottagers, wrong:

“Chris came in for the last five games when we were in real danger of relegation. Bolton and West Ham were picking up points and we had the toughest run-in of them all. Chris got the lads motivated. `He is highly respected by the rest of the players and I am convinced we can do very well next season.”
