Fulham manager Chris Coleman has told midfielder Sean Davis that he will only be allowed to leave the Cottagers if he submits a transfer request.

Everton have had a £3.5 million offer for the 23-year-old rejected.

And new boss Coleman has reiterated that he wants to keep his former team-mate with the Cottagers.

But he revealed that Davis, a member of the England squad last season, has asked the club to tell him of any offers.

‘Sean wants to be informed of any new bids that come in for him,’ Coleman said.

‘Unless he refuses to play for us any longer and puts in a transfer request to leave in writing then as far as I am concerned he’s staying.’
