Fulham are confident of concluding the deal to bring Franco Baresi to London as their new director of football.
The Whites formally announced the Italian legend’s appointment on Monday but the AC Milan vice-president was angered by appearing to be bounced into the move as he was still negotiating the finer terms of his arrival. Frantic negotiations ensued and Fulham sources have briefed the British tabloids that Baresi should sign on the dotted line later today.
