Fulham centre back Alain Goma has returned to full training at Motspur Park after missing a month’s worth of action with a hip injury.

The French defender has been out since the start of September but has reported no problems having resumed contact work with the rest of Jean Tigana’s squad and could even be in contention for a place on the bench against Derby County in the League Cup this evening.

The former Newcastle man has been out for several weeks with a hip injury but is close to full fitness.

He trained with no problems again today and could even be in contention for a place on the bench against Derby tomorrow.

That is a huge boost for The Cottagers because Goma has been sorely missed.
