Fulham will play at Queens Park Rangers next season and before returning to a 30,000-capacity Craven Cottage twelve months later, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Whites have to vacate Craven Cottage at the end of this season as their three-year grace period to turn their historic home into an all-seater stadium is up. Fulham’s redevelopment plans have been delayed by a High Court battle with the Fulham Alliance – which has forced the club to negotiate a ground share in order to continue playing top flight football.

The closeness of QPR’s Loftus Road ground appears to have won the day. Fulham manager Jean Tigana argued in favour of a move to West Ham United’s Upton Park, but the proximity of Rangers’ home and the ability to strike a cheaper deal after Chris Wright’s controlling stake in the Second Division side was sold with the agreement of the official receiver earlier this week made the decision easier for Mohamed Al-Fayed.
