Fulham’s new £11.5million striker Steve Marlet is not expected to make his debut in the London derby at Charlton Athletic tomorrow.

The club record signing, who moved from Lyon last week, has been handed the number nine shirt but is unlikely to play after sustaining an injury while with the French team in Chile at the weekend. Luis Boa Morte is available to manager Jean Tigana for the first time in the campaign after sitting out the first three Premiership matches due to a suspension held over from last season.

Midfielder Lee Clark has battled back to fitness after his Achilles tendon problem and hopes to win a starting place in the Cottagers’ midfield. But French defender Alain Goma has failed to recover from the hip injury he sustained in the goalless draw against Derby County and has been ruled out of the trip to the Valley.
