Fulham scouts are in France this week looking for another central defender as Jean Tigana seeks to make one more signing before the Charlton derby.

The Fulham boss may have spent more than £40million since he arrived at Craven Cottage, but the signs are that the spending will not stop there.

Fulham representatives are on the lookout for a new centre-back, and ideally Tigana would like further cover at right-back as well.

Those are the positions where Fulham are weakest, although Zat Knight’s progress is making the problem less urgent.

However, Tigana would like an experienced partner for Alain Goma at the back and that is his next priority purchase.
