John Collins has described Fulham’s return of six points from their first six Premiership matches as ‘inexcusable’.

The newly-promoted Londoners have only beaten Sunderland so far despite spending nearly £45m over the summer after winning the First Division and Collins was frustrated by the failure to beat Leicester City last weekend.

The Scottish international told Sky Sports:

“We should be taking more points from matches. Last week’s 0-0 draw against Leicester was very disappointing. We should be getting results with the team we have got. But we are taking our foot off the pedal in the second half. We’ve got to start taking more chances. We’re working hard in training, but we haven’t taken that spirit on to the pitch. It is disappointing, and frankly inexcusable.”
