Rangers chairman David Murray has slammed suggestions that Norwegian striker Tore Andre Flo is set for a move to Fulham, insisting that he is only interested in building the squad rather than selling players.

The Norwegian international, a club record signing from Chelsea last season, has failed to hit his top form north of the border but Murray insisted that stories linking him with a move to Craven Cottage – or anywhere – are untrue. Murray said:

“There is no truth in this story at all. We haven’t heard anything from Fulham and if there was anything the player’s agent would have spoken to me. We’re happy with Tore Andre Flo and there’s no need to add to this speculation. We haven’t even had an enquiry about him and he’s definitely not for sale.”
