Hat tricks from Katie Chapman and Marianne Petterson helped Fulham Ladies thrash George Mason University 10-0 at the London School of Economics sports ground this afternoon.

The Whites made light of terrible playing conditions, with a torrential downpour pausing play in the first half, to hammer their American opponents to impress new head coach Gaute Haugenes. George Mason University, one of the leading college sides in the United States, had already beaten Wimbledon 2-1 during their tour of England but were blown away by a ruthless exhibition of Fulham finishing.

As well as the trebles from two of Fulham’s forwards, Sanchia Duncan bagged a brace whilst Kristy Moore and half-time substitute Rachel Yankey rounded off the scoring.

FULHAM LADIES: Smith; Jeray-Silver (Yankey 45), Unit, Phillip, Duncan; Chapman, Gibbons, Haugenes, Mork (Wilcock 56); Pettersen, Moore (McArthur 45).
