Fulham have joined the race for Landskrona`s highly-coveted forward Alexander Farnerud.
Manchester United had the striker at Old Trafford for a second trial earlier in the summer, but Fulham have now made with the teenager, whose availability is also being monitored by two top Dutch sides in Feyenoord and Ajax.
The 17-year-old is seen as one of the brightest young talents in Sweden, and Cottagers boss Jean Tigana has been alerted to his precocious ability.
Speaking to Proffs, Farnerud said: “Yes, I have received a letter from Fulham manager Jean Tigana, and they want me to come over to the club. As I have stated before, it’s BoIS that matter, at least for the remainder of the season.”
Tigana is well connected the Farnerud family, having signed Alexander’s brother Pontus to Monaco during his time in the Principality, so he may have an advantage in the race to sign the youngster.
