Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp has turned down a move to Fulham, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had agreed a £2m deal with his compatriot Jean Tigana and 32 year-old Bergkamp was locked in intensive talks with the Whites over a potential move to Craven Cottage. The proposed deal only fell through when the Dutchman decided he would rather stay at Highbury and fight for his first-team place.
Tigana had made Bergkamp his number one target but was surprised to learn that Bergkamp was available for transfer mere months after committing his future to the Gunners by signing a new two-year contract.
