Fulham are chasing Cameroon striker Patrick Mboma as Jean Tigana seeks to add to his attacking options ahead of the Whites’ Premiership bow.
The Parma centre forward has struggled since signing from Cagliari, scoring five goals in twenty appearances for the Serie A side last season. Mboma, 30, is the latest in a succession of strikes that Fulham have been linked with over the summer, including German legend Oliver Bierhoff and Jan Koller.
Mboma, a regular scorer for Cameroon, holds a French passport would negate the need for a Home Office work permit but it remains to be seen whether Parma would entertain the loss of another forward having sold several stars including Amoroso over the past twelve months. Marco di Vaio and former Aston Villa striker Savo Milosevic have kept Mboma on the bench for most of his Parma career to date, but the Italian outfit may need a persuasive offer to part with the Cameroonian star.
