John Collins says there’s much to come from in-form Fulham forward Louis Saha after took his tally to seventeen goals for the season as the Whites eased past Wimbledon on Saturday.
The 22 year-old striker’s brace helped Jean Tigana’s side move back to the top of the First Division table with a straightforward 3-0 victory at Selhurst Park.
Scottish midfielder Collins believes the talented Frenchman will get stronger as his first Fulham campaign progresses:
“Saha is a world-class player who is getting better every week. His talent is frightening. Defenders kick lumps out of him, but he is still excellent. He is no big-time Charlie and doesn’t think he has arrived early. Louis has got great feet, some electrifying pace, superb balance and is very strong. He has simply got the lot and is very mature for his age.”
The former Everton man was full of praise for how his team-mates handled a physical London derby.
“Wimbledon were very aggressive, but we managed to mix it up as well and won our fair share of the challenges. We knew it would be a physical game, but we came through a scrap. Wimbledon is always a hard place to come to, but we didn’t have to prove anything to ourselves. We are confident we can win these kind of games.”
