Goalkeeper John Vaughan joined Fulham in the summer of 1986 from West Ham United for £12,500. He made 55 appearances for the Whites – and had the misfortune of being in goal when Fulham were thrashed 10-0 at Liverpool in the League Cup in 1987 – being being released after two seasons at Craven Cottage.
