Welsh defender Jeff Hopkins made his Fulham debut as a seventeen year-old against Huddersfield Town in May 1981. He went on to play 260 games in seven years at Craven Cottage, scoring six goals, before making a £240,000 move to Crystal Palace in August 1988. Hopkins was capped sixteen times for Wales and, after hanging up on his boots, embarked on an international coaching career, which currently sees him in charge of A-League Melbourne Victory.
