Barking-born Tony Mahoney rose through the Fulham youth ranks making his debut as a seventeen year old against Cardiff City in November 1976. He scored thirteen goals in 69 games for the Whites, but was released in 1982 and went on to play for Brentford and Crystal Palace before dropping into non-league football.
