Centre forward Jeff Taylor scored eighteen goals in 35 appearances for Fulham in a three-year spell at Craven Cottage during the early 1950s. He scored on his debut against Arsenal and hit a hat-trick against Middlesbrough, but he struggled to hold down a regular place in the first team and joined Brentford on a free transfer. He ended his playing career to pursue an opera career.
