Reliable left-back Reg Lowe joined Fulham with his brother Eddie from Aston Villa in the summer of 1950. He went on to make 73 first-team appearances for the Whites in three years until his career was curtailed when broke his leg at Luton Town in January 1953. He was part of the famous 1950/51 ‘great escape’ as Fulham remained in the top flight despite all the odds.
