Stepney-born forward Bob Thomas scored 58 goals in 176 games for Fulham between 1947 and 1952. He scored on his debut against Brentford in August 1947 and went on to score 23 times the following year as Frank Osborne’s side stormed to the Second Division title. Thomas found life tougher in the top flight but was still a regular on the scoresheet until he signed for Crystal Palace in the summer of 1952.
