Lambeth-born right winger Wally Hinshelwood joined Fulham as a teenager on a free transfer from Sutton United just after the Second World War. He made nineteen appearances for the club, scoring a single goal, before joining Chelsea in search of more regular first-team football in April 1951. His sons, Martin and Paul, went on to play professionally for Brighton and Hove Albion, as did his grandsons Danny, Adam and Paul Junior. His great-grandson Jack is currently in the Albion senior squad.
