England international Pat Beasley joined Fulham after the end of the Second World War and became a regular on the left wing. He scored thirteen goals in 163 appearances, captaining the Whites as they won the Second Division title in 1949. He left Craven Cottage after a single season in the top flight – returning to become the club’s chief scout in 1960 for around a year.
