West Ham was a must win game. Well look at how that turned out. This is just bad. Bad, bad, bad. This is the same sort of form tha Fulham showed a couple of seasons ago whenever Fulham just about stayed up. I’m a very angry and worried Fulham fan.
I’m an optimistic person but this is really not looking good! Losing 3-1 at home to West Ham was possibly the worst result we could have gained right now. We are now level on points with hopeless West Ham and the rest of the table is slowlymoving away. The build up in the game was about how Fulham don’t concede very many but this performance didn’t give me much confidence in that area. We where very much on top for the first 35minutes then Fulham just stopped playing.
Eddie Johnson is poor. Andy Johnson still isn’t his old self ad Dempsey went off injured. hughes needs to do something very positive in the transfer window or Al Fayad might just relieve him of hos duties.
I’ll say it again, to point out Eddie Johnson is very unfair. He is what he is. ANDY is the Johnson who looks like crap. He’s fit and playing like shit. No more mention of his previous injuries, no more excuses for his bad play.
Andy guess what? Murphy’s best days are way behind him. I hope he retires at the end of the season.
*and guess what
Andy Johnson has even screwed with my typing skills.
Well ok perhaps it was unfair of me to point out Eddie. The both of them are really not at the level that they should be at. We need replacements for both of them. And thats just that!
We need a replacement for Mark Hughes first and foremost.
Quite simply Andy Johnson is currently championship level at best, eddie is just not good enough for the premier league so not pointing finger at him. this rests with Mark Hughes and an inability to motivate a team of players who last year excelled. it’s many players who are not the same – swarz, duff, murphy – no bobby. Something has to rapidly change as a gap is appearing and we are unlikely to get anything at Stoke or spurs so that’s another 6 points gap potentially. nervous times – funds needed by mo!!
I don’t think getting rid of Hughes is the answer. He needs his chance in the transfer window and then we will see what happens. realistically he hasn’t actually had that much time. A couple of months is nothing in the footballing world. Hughes is a proven manager….he is still getting to grips with our team.
It’s astonishing how far the club have fallen so quickly. AJ is barely a shadow of a goal scorer, Etuhu is dreadful and Murphy is past it, and every opponent beats Salcido like a kid’s drum. Hughes may be a proven manager, but he seems to be getting the least out of these players, not the most. Not much cause to be optimistic about transfers — what decent player wants to move to a club likely to go down? Can you imagine next season with Championship football at the Cottage and visiting PL teams cleaning up at Loftus Road?
I don’t think it is unfair to point out Eddie Johnson. He simply isn’t up to standard, and obviously it isn’t his fault that he is still being played by the management. But the fact that he isn’t up to standard doesn’t make it unfair to say it, if its the truth (and we all know it is) then its completely fair to say he is poor.
