Fulham full back Timothy Castagne will miss the final few weeks of the season after successfully undergoing ankle surgery earlier this week.

The Belgian international had played with tears in his ankle ligaments for the past four months after Marco Silva lost the services of Dutch right back Kenny Tete in December. Castagne posted a picture of his bandaged right foot on Instagram earlier this afternoon, with the following caption:

“Happy the surgery went well. I’ve struggled with tears in ankle for four months now. I’ve tried my best to continue but it was getting worse. Tough to leave the team and miss national team in such an important time. Looking forward to finally being myself next season!”
