Fulham head coach Marco Silva has revealed that Harrison Reed faces five or six weeks on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery after tearing his meniscus in training.

The former Southampton midfielder has been assessed by the club’s medical department after suffering the injury in training at Motspur Park earlier this week and SIlva revealed the setback during his pre-match press conference this afternoon.

He said:

“The bad news for us is about Harrison Reed. Yesterday he got an injury in his knee and, after the exams, he’s going to need surgery there. It will take longer, probably five, six weeks, to be ready again.”

Serbian midfielder Sasa Lukic is available for selection again having returned to training last week having injured his shoulder during the previous international break and could come back into the side immediately.

Silva said:

“Saša Luki? and Carlos Vinicius, they are available to be involved in the squad list, or in the XI. Nice to see both back. Carlos was closer the last few weeks. Nice to see Saša coming back and being in condition to be involved. Of course, [we] need more time to get the right fitness and to be in the right shape, but he’s going to be involved in the squad list, and if we need him, he’s going to be ready.”
